SMS Messaging Policy

SMARTCABPRO LLC · Version 1.1 · Effective September 12, 2026 (v1.1 corrects how STOP works, lists the texts we send and who sends them, and adds the carrier no-sharing statement)

1. Purpose

SmartCabPro and participating Transportation Providers send text messages to support transportation services and account management.

The texts we send are:

SmartCabPro does not send marketing or promotional texts. Taxi companies may not use SmartCabPro's shared number to send them, and SmartCabPro may refuse such content.

Reminders about driver or vehicle documents are shown inside the app. They are not sent by text.

1A. Who Sends the Texts

Texts are delivered through our messaging provider, Twilio. Each text is sent either from SmartCabPro's registered number, for SmartCabPro or for the taxi company whose service you are using, or from that taxi company's own registered number.

Some taxi companies share a SmartCabPro number. This matters when you reply STOP (see Section 5).

2. Consent

By providing a mobile phone number and opting in where required, you authorize SmartCabPro and, where applicable, the Transportation Provider to send SMS messages related to your use of the Platform.

If you call a taxi company that uses SmartCabPro, the company may text you back at the number you called from about that call. Taxi companies are responsible for having permission to text their drivers, vehicle owners and managers.

Consent is not a condition of purchasing transportation services unless required for a specific service (such as receiving a verification code to secure your account).

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency depends on how you use the Platform.

Examples include:

We do not guarantee a minimum or maximum number of messages.

4. Message & Data Rates

Your mobile carrier may charge message or data fees.

SmartCabPro does not control carrier charges and is not responsible for those fees.

5. Opt-Out

You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any text from us.

Replying STOP to a number stops all texts from that number, including one-time sign-in codes. Because some taxi companies share a SmartCabPro number, STOP may also stop sign-in codes and ride texts from other taxi companies using that number.

Reply START (or UNSTOP) to the same number to receive messages again, or contact support@smartcabpro.com.

Company managers can also stop fleet alerts by removing their number in the company's settings.

6. Help

Where supported, replying HELP will provide information about obtaining assistance.

7. Supported Carriers

Message delivery depends on participating mobile carriers.

SmartCabPro does not guarantee that every carrier will successfully deliver every message.

Delivery delays may occur due to carrier networks or technical issues.

8. Privacy

SMS communications are subject to the SmartCabPro Privacy Policy.

We do not sell SMS-related personal information.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding the aggregators and providers of the text message services that deliver the messages.

We keep a record of the texts we send (the phone number, the type of message, the time, whether our messaging provider accepted it, and the provider's message reference) for billing and troubleshooting.

See also our SMS Opt-In page.

9. Changes

SmartCabPro may update this SMS Policy from time to time.

Material updates will be communicated through reasonable electronic methods where required.
